Popular Catholic Devotions
This page attempts not only to explain some of our popular Catholic devotions (definitely an ongoing task!) but more importantly to act as a guide in integrating these devotions into our lives. Catholic devotions showcase the whole spectrum of spirituality. They are all connected and weave in and out of the same topics of holiness, formation, transformation and worship. They make the best use of sacramentals as well, in extending the Kingdom of God out into common elements of our everyday lives, because " there is hardly any proper use of material things which cannot be directed toward the sanctification of men and the praise of God." (Sacrosanctum Concilium, § 62.)
