Our lady of fatima

                                                          Eastertide: Day 39

Today is a more serious day of Eastertide. It is the feast day known as Our Lady of Fatima. In 1917, Our Lady appeared in a series of apparitions to 3 young shepherd children in a rural part of Portugal, near the town of Fatima. What took place there in the final apparition was witnessed by more than 70,000 people, and reported in newspapers all over the world.
